Something to KRAVE

I have been on such a protein kick lately that when I got the opportunity to taste-test a wide variety of delicious high-protein jerky, I was ecstatic! I can’t tell you enough how much I enjoyed this particular jerky and guarantee you’ll want to give it a taste if you haven’t already.

What am I talking about? It’s KRAVE Jerky! This healthy gourmet treat is not only jam-packed with 8-12 grams of protein per 1 oz. serving, but it is low in calories, salt and cholesterol, and virtually fat free.

I opened my sampler box and was both surprised and delighted with the vast amount of flavors and meats that KRAVE makes! With flavors ranging from Basil Citrus Turkey Jerky and Chili Lime Beef Jerky to Black Cherry Barbecue and Sweet Grilled Teriyaki Pork Jerky, there is certainly something to fancy anyone’s taste.

A number of the flavors are loaded with garlic, so they’re not for the faint of palate, but they’re ideal for keeping on hand during a long summer hike or storing in the cabinet for a mid-afternoon snack. My favorites were the Garlic Chili Pepper Beef Jerky and the Black Cherry Barbecue Pork Jerky, but if you’re looking for something a little on the sweeter side, throw your mouth a party by munching on the Pineapple Orange Beef.

Sometimes you crave a little sweet treat to cap off your evening or get you through a long afternoon. Other days, you desire a crunchy, salty snack that is sure to make your mouth water. Did you know there’s an actual science behind why you crave one over the other?
